On January 17th, dozens of working Ohioans criss-crossed Capitol Square in Columbus to deliver a strong message of support for the Ohio Healthy Families Act. Representing 190 endorsing organizations and community leaders as well as over a quarter million Ohioans who signed our petition for paid sick days, these determined women and men worked the corridors of power. Eloquent and straightforward, they held on their shoulders the over 2.2 million Ohioans currently without the chance to earn paid sick days.
The campaign is now organizing regional lobbying efforts in every Ohio House and Senate District and will return to the State Capitol soon - we won't stop until the Ohio Healthy Families Act becomes law and everyone who works in Ohio gets the same opportunities to care for their families as politicians and CEO's.
